Youth in Action is a program of the European Union aimed at young people and organizations active in youth work, which is implemented in the period 2007 - 2013.

The Executive Agency for the Youth in Action program in Brussels announced the official results of supported projects for the first (February) deadline in 2012. 11 projects are approved for the organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is the best result of our organizations for one call for proposals in the last three years.

The organizations whose projects are supported work with different youth groups from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e.:  “Korito Drine”, “Kozarski Berek”, “Dinara Forum”, “Zdravo da ste”, “Graditelji mira”, “Mreža” and Roma Youth Initiative.

In 2010 and 2011 the Commission for Coordination of Youth Issues in BiH, in partnership with the association IPAK- Youth is Building a Future, as the official contact point for the "Youth in Action" program in BiH, supported the program by organizing information days and trainings for youth.

About a hundred representatives of youth organizations in BiH received the training. The Commission will continue to support the program in the future.

European Youth Foundation funded projects in BiH in the amount of 91 000 KM
The European Youth Foundation is a body within the Council of Europe through which it supports youth projects in Member States.
Youth NGOs in BiH have not used the funds of the Foundation until June last year.  One of the reasons for this was the fact that most organizations dealing with youth issues in BiH did not know that such institution exists.
The Commission for Coordination of Youth Issues in BiH recognized the importance of the Foundation and included it in the content of info days organized in June 2011, which we wrote about before.  Since that date, the Foundation has received considerably more applications compared to previous years, and has earmarked about 91 000 KM for projects implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Calls for applications within several categories are currently open under the Foundation activities.  More information on the calls and application rules can be found on the following websites:

The Commission will continue to promote the importance and value of the Foundation for BiH youth with the aim of increasing the number of successful projects implemented in our country.
